Warning! - Google Will Soon Be Releasing Version 2.2 Of The Panda Algorithm Update.

Discussion in 'Google' started by GuruCreation, Jun 20, 2011.

Cutts said that "the algorithm will be manually scanning for those particular websites that are involved in content farming and/or content re-publishing."

Addressing the huge amount of complaints coming from webmasters that web/internet content scraping sites are out ranking original quality content sites, Matt Cutts said that "the Google Panda algorithm update, which is version 2.2, will most likely DESTROY this issue."

He also mentioned that "Google will keep working on the Panda algorithm until they have a robust algorithm that can and will penalize the content farming and related sites and display a 1000 times better improved search results."

With the above being said, it might be time (IT WAS TIME, A LONG TIME AGO) for those that are involved with/in "Content Farming" or "Content Re-Publishing/Scraping" to rethink their strategies, if you are a Google believer...lol... Which most, if not all of us, are.....:)

Google has updated and approved of the changes.....

There is no specific launch date for this Panda update version 2.2, but when it does, I'm sure you're going to know....lol

Think your having Problems with your website rankings now....lmao!

I feel the same way. I write all unique content on EVERY site of mine and I had a couple affected by the last update that shouldn't have been. So even if you have good sites there is still a chance because not even GOOGLE is perfect. fingers crossed...

BTW, thanks for the post Guru

In my opinion the main problem is that they do something "manually". Because of that it is not an algorithm now, it is something other... What "accuracy" or "inaccuracy" can we talk about if there are special people who manually penalize/award sites?

Hmmm, IDK. I don't see them being able to manually do billions of sites but I'm sure they have quite a few people that are marking the main bad sites that have a lot of complaints. IDK though, I just know I have 2 sites that were hit and IMO they should not have been. The content is 100% unique. Well, unless it was stolen from my site and used elsewhere.

I'm in doubt too, but... Two of my sites affected by Panda (one of them is a shop, nothing similar to content farm) - traffic have been "cut" May, 12 and May, 24... And almost no changing in SERP... How do they do that (I mean - cut traffic)?? Have no idea.

Hopefully it does. The idea is good but they have not perfected it yet.

    Sure thing! You are welcome..

On another note: The Panda Update 2.1 that was released in early May, was really only a minor update, but received no fanfare from Google whatsoever....!

Because Matt Cutts himself mentioned this new update at one of the biggest (if not the biggest) SEO conferences (SMX Advanced) of the year, only makes me think that this is going to be really big and have a huge impact on those particular websites.

Hope it really will work like what they'd plan and not faulty that will affect those that don't scrape data from someone else site.

I saw the same thing with my websites as well, but I think the timing was playing a part on what I was doing to one of them. Because, at the same time these updates (Panda) were happening, I was changing the theme to one of my sites and it dropped to page 6 from the bottom of page 1, for a very very saturated and competitive keyword... The site has all original unique content, but that's not to say someone hasn't posted my content on other sites...Anyway, I have since gotten that website back to page 3 though. This update might or might not help.

I'm actually excited about this new update and can't wait to see what it all entails.... Hopefully it whoops the shitty sites' ass....;)

they can do almost nothing about that since they have limited staff, equipments, time and money. most of you don't know what you are talking about. internet is much more bigger than a single search engine company. millions of pages are created daily. can you imagine this? nothing is perfect including search engines.

We should not be worried if we have quality sites.....

I am not worried at all, as whatever Google does, My ranking does not affect much...
