Is this considered blackhat? I'm just curious. I heard that Google sandboxed other sites from doing this. Thanks!!!
I dont know about that... Meals for Cheap was on the 2nd page of google within like 4 days.......... And was slowly going up by like one or two spots per day, and then all of a sudden disappeared entirely...... Shortly after a post where I linked to all of the posts, and each link used the phrase Meals for Cheap in the alt, title, and anchor text....... I was just testing to see what would happen if I made 1 page that heavily heavily used the key words Meals for Cheap..... I was of course hoping it would move me up to #1 and figured if not oh well....... but Much to my surprise it completely removed my website from being on any page that I can find for the term Meals for cheap..............
You can work on only a single keyword and promote the business. It is required to have multiple keywords targetted in the website. However, it would be ideal to have 2-3 keywords in every page of the website. Over usage of the keywords in the single page may dilute the on page efforts and may not rank your site higher.
If you try to spam ,definately you will be put into sandbox whether you use multiple or single word doesnot matter
The use of multiple keywords is a good technique to specifying the contents that you are focusing on. Just don't appear to be spammy on Google's sight.
I get the point.. "If you try to spam ,definately you will be put into sandbox whether you use multiple or single word doesnot matter "
Its OK to use some relevant keywords on page. Don't use excessive keywords on your page or don't use irrelevant keywords.
yes, Meals for Cheap was up to the top of page 2 on google for that specific keyword term "meals for cheap" however, it appeared to have been sandboxed or whatever for nearly a week for abusing keywords I had one page that was basically about 15 links to Meals for cheap Recipe Here so i was using meals for cheap in the alt, the title, and the anchor text of every single link on that post...... and I no longer ranked on any of the top 50 pages for about a week........... Finally after removing those abusive links and keywords Im back on page2 and have gone up about 1 spot per day. What is the "fallacy of logic" in that?
I would suggest you to always focus on one keyword per page, but always remember about keyword density, it should be about 1% - 3%. Of course you can experiment and make it higher but Google might not like it.
The fallacy in logic with your first post was your assumption that because B followed A in time, that A caused B. That is a simply logical fallacy, that's all. For those that care there is a decent explanation here Likewise, if your new conclusion is that the change back is because of the change you reflexively made then that conclusion is equally flawed. Assuming that because one thing happened after another that the first thing caused the second is a common logical fallacy.
I see. Well, I admit I am a beginner at SEO, my business partner does more of this than I do. So I am learning, I will have to read up on the link you posted. It just seemed to make since, because My site did drop off the face of the earth when I abused keywords and it seemed to come back about 3 days after fixing the abuse.
If the keywords are relevant to your content, then there's no reason that you'll get penalize. But if these are not related at all, better think about it. You should also think about keyword density. I think the acceptable one is maximum of 3% - how many times your keyword appears for every 100 words.
The thing is that it may be the cause of your change, all I was pointing out is that you can't conclude it based solely on the fact that it dropped after making the change.
Just don't stuff the keywords to and fro at your site. Keep the things natural and see a friendly relation with different bots here. Putting multiple keyword is a good thing but don't be spammy. Thanks
