fake PageRank?

Recently i picked up an expired domain with PR4.

Was so happy and I thought I could flip the domain for a small profit. Unfortunately I was told the domain had a fake PR.

With that, i started to read more about fake PR. Was told if you use info:domain and if the returned domain is different from your domain, its a fake PR.

However i have encountered domain with PR but when i check it with info: search, it returned with no result. Is that fake PR as well.

When a domain is dropped, its pr is dropped as well. Its worthless to buy a pr dropped domain. When the Pr update will occur, you pr will drop to 0, unless it will have backlinks remained in position!

A lot of people have been trying to make money online in nasty ways. By saying that they sell high pr domain and providing fake proof, many people are easily fooled and buy the domain with fake pr straight away. But remember, you can always check the validity of a pr of a domain using this tool from http://checkpagerank.net/

Thanks, Al-Hazmi10. I was thinking that maybe there's a fraudulent website that gives fake PR. It's good that's not the case. Apparently, ruhul11 has failed to check with a popular PR-checking site.

To all: Ever wondered how people create a website with fake pagerank? Shifty people try to fake their domains' pagerank by redirecting their websites to another websites that have high pagerank.
When a search engine spiders visits a web page URL, the server redirects the spider to a web page with high PageRank.
Google assigns the high PageRank to the page with the redirection because it thinks that the pages are identical.
When a human web surfer visits the web page URL, the server does not redirect the surfer. That means that the web surfer sees the web page of the faker and the Google toolbar displays the PageRank of the redirected URL:
    Check http://seoblackhat.com/2005/07/26/how-to-fake-a-google-page-rank-10-or-any-pr-you-want/ for more information

There can not be any fake PR on internet's trusted site, like on Google tool for PR, you will be shown exact PR of a domain, so you should investigate your self about PR before proceeding towards purchase.
