Another Fiverr Site, Is it a good idea ?

sort of giving up on it until i think of improving it and adding some new feature then launch it , or keep money for next time when i get a better idea for a website

No I don't think its a good idea, there are hundreds of similar sites and a majority of them are dead. They are just filled with people selling gigs but nobody to buy them

 

These sites have reached market saturation. Unless you can add something new to the formula, don't bother.

Hmm, what about just focusing the theme a bit more to a specific genre? Five bucks for, say, logo design or content creation? Hope that helps!

Think about it this way...

When i ask you which online auction site would you use, who would you say? eBay.

Why? Because they are globally recognised in the niche market as well as having a huge brand name.

Basically my point is, they have done it and made a success of it.... Why try to stay in someone's shadow when you can look to be fresh minded?

There are many generic ones on the market.
You can pick a niche you're familiar with.

 

If you are taking a model that is already working you will have to add your own unique twist to compete in the market place

 

Here is an idea I had played with but got side tracked, and that instead of coming up with another site just like fiverr, cause just too much competition, get a script and provide this service in a different language.

In other words, cater for countries where English is not the main language.

You would need to look into translating software, but I think that would work.

My advice for you is to forget a fiverr clone website, I did the same mistake 3 months ago, i knew that there's too many sites like fiverr and the most of them are not a success, but even if knew all that i had someone in mind who told me you can do it just keep promoting the website and you will success and i can tell you that it's no WAY i invested a lot of money in advertising and to promote the site and i'm still doing it all that time i got only 5 sales.
As everyone told you there's nothing better as inovation new concept something new even your fiverr clone can succeed if you add on it something new to make the diffrence with others. Good Luck

 

You could offer the sellers a better payment arrangement than Fiverr does. For example, sellers usually want buyers to complete their feedback right after a job is completed and delivered. I believe this is because Fiverr withholds payment until feedback is submitted. This is fine, except what if the buyer doesn't give their feedback for weeks.

Basically, even though your site will be a clone, there are plenty of areas where you can make your services better.
