Just need some ideas about this: http://yourmaindomain.com/ What CMS is it built on? What CMS could you build it in? Could you make it cleaner more modern and create more features like when adding a domain name it would autocheck dmoz, pagerank etc and automatically upload them into the system. Our current design = http://savednames.com/portfolio/portfolio.php Please tell me your approximate costings for this and time taken.
I think its a custom solution, built in ASP. A custom solution can be built in PHP or ASP .net, if you need that. Integrating features like pagerank, yahoo links, dmoz link etc..
Depends on what features you want. The site that you mentioned has - 1) A market place for domains, sites, links and contents. 2) Payment integration with paypal, visa, moneybooker and e-gold. 3) Article repository 4) Webmaster and SEO tools (Powered by iWebtools, but can be done custom as well) So it all depends on what and how many features you want in your script.
Will speak to the guy who wants it and list them soon I think he just wants PayPal as the money system.
SavedNames.com Competitor Sites - http://yourmaindomain.com http://www.nameretailer.com Description of site: The SavedNames site should be a mixture of ecommerce and blog with the ability for the admin to add domains for sale through a back-end. When adding domains the site will automatically check their pagerank, links at yahoo, expiration date from whois, alexa rank and whether they are listed in dmoz. These domains are then added to a table called "all domains" which is viewable by the user. The user can then add these domains to a cart, before payment. The homepage of this site would display domains from the database based on pre-set criteria. E.g. one box may show Pageranked domains, another showing aged domains. These boxes can be added, edited and removed so that the homepage can be customised in layout. There would also be a search page where a user can search for domains based on their crtiera. The user should be able to make a purchase from the site via Paypal, or, Escrow (manual instructions displayed to user). The site would also have a blog section where domain names could be updated. Snippets of this blog posts could be used on the homepage to create a welcome message etc All of this could be achieved by building on Wordpress and creating a custom wordpress plugin to handle the domains.
