My site on First page of google but traffic is very low ?

 

Google search numbers are sometimes (way) off. So, this is one possible reason for low traffic. It could also be seasonal (high searches in winter, low in summer). It's also possible that first three websites suck in all the traffic and theres not much left for the remaining positions.

 

how can u say that your site on first... If u search with ur site name u will get first only.. thats not great. If any one searches keywords related to your site content then ur site need to come at first.

 

Remember, studies show the top three results get 75% of the clicks. Get to work on building up them backlinks!

 

If none is searching for that keywords how you'll get traffic ?

You need to select your keywords very carefully. some times it happens that we rank on first page on a keyword which has very low search volume...you need to select keywords with high search volume and low competition. You also need to check it in Traffic estimator tool which can tell you how many clicks per day can you receive when your keyword is on no.1.

 

You should use Google Keyword Tools to check how many peoples search the keyword that you are at top 1. I think the quantity is not much.

 

have you analyzed the number of monthly traffics regarding your keywords? this problem is clearly for the low number of traffic per month. thats why i always tell people that keyword research is a very important thing.

 

Here's a couple of likely reasons:

1) theres no search volume for the keyword - you need to go to the google keyword tool and search for your keyword and then use [exact] to get the most accurate amount of searches for that keyword.

2) google personalised results - have you checked that google hasn't personalised your results, sometimes they might change the results so that you are first page because you've been on your own website a lot but you won't actually hold that position in the search engine.

 

i am little bit confused that i have set my Google crawling rate by default. and Google crawl my website with in 2-3 days.i want to change Google crawling rate in webmaster tool.

my website contain 20,000,00 pages but present Google crawl only 3,000,00 pages only. if i increase crawl rate then my pages will crawl fast or which crawl rate will be suitable for my website.

traffic is depend on site`s content . bounce rate should be very low means 0-4 out of 10.

 

Google is not always the only traffic you can get you can try some others like :
Youtube by uploading videos
Tweeter for updates
Facebook for a fan page
Advertise as much you can/msn/forums
Submit your url to directories and classfields

 

You need to find the best keyword in your niche first. It dioes not work if you rank for a keyword like "Buy Clothes for my mom" you need some good keywords.

I pretty much agree with you on this. Being on the first page does not mean that you will get tons of traffic. I have a site which was in the 4th and 5th position for two keywords that have a total of 22000 monthly search volume and the number of visitors that I received was below 10 every single day. Numerous studies show that the top three position generate a total of 79.63% of traffic. It simply means if you are not there your site won't receive as much traffic as you want.

Here is some numbers of those studies.

3rd 9.82%

Which is equal to 79.63% plus sites advertising gets 10% of the traffic.

 

it's so wrong. It still can reach to the top without traffic. Good link building campaign and a good writer will help it.
