When you guys talk about landing pages you mean something like this? http:// w w w .tictactones. c o m (and no this is not my site...) Do you think it still worthwile to get in to this business right now? I read on some places the market is oversaturated, but I guess each day new ringtones (that people want on their phone) are created. Just wanted to know your two cents... Greetz Smetten
yes we mean somethign like this... but there is a major variety of them out there.... As of late there have been some tracking issues with Azoogle but other than that ringtones are still going... is it to late... depends on how creative you are... as it is to late for th uncreative people as they will ahve to bid to much to get any decnet placement and in turn no profit...
get azoogle to make you a custom page like this http://ringtones.bestringtonesoffer.com/?offer_id=3185&affil=10973-8810000646359y from what those guys are spending on adwords and stuff i am guessing they are killing it
Yah, definetly, I see that page has top rankings for all the highest searched keywords. Although Im guessing you have to be bringing in a huge amount (50k+ a month) before azoogle will give you a custom landing page.
I think im gonna look into other markets. Don´t think i'm gonna make it big in ringtones... Greetz and thx for the feedback Shoe and others!
Not a bad idea. Personally, ditching ringtones and focusing on other offers was the best move I ever made. Had to get away from the "shoemoney effect"
i have that same feeling, i was so impressed with what i read on his blog... guess you can call it the "shoemoney effect"
I started doing PPC yesterday with Blinko. I made two conversions today from 8 clicks. There's still money to be made but it's very competitive. I have over 40,000 keywords so far. I wonder if I would do better with a landing page?
the main thing a landing page will do for you is let you decide where to send traffic... for instance someone with nextel or boost cant use blinko (they say they can but only 1 handset is supported). You want to send them to fun mobile
Re: 40k keywords How do you track each individual keyword? With a few or a few dozen you can send them to different landing pages with diff sub-id's, or even do a little PHP coding on one page. But with 40k that would be insanely inefficient. What are you using to keep track of all those?
At the moment, I'm not tracking each individual keyword. They're all grouped by category and they redirect to different SubIDs so I can track which Ad Group is converting well on Azoogle.
Just wondering - what kind of landing page works better for you when it comes to converting visitors to leads? More the fancy looking ones with the phone-carrier buttons (like so many out there) or rather less fancy looking, but clean pages with text and text links? Christoph
rofl, no wonder i couldn't get those keywords to convert, i wish my AM would of told me this information. oh well, thanks for the info, better late than never. now back to testing...
To be honest most AM's just dont know and this is really to your advantage. If you can do some testing on your own and nail down what handsets work with what carriers then you can really see a difference in ROI.
I agree while AM's have some knowledge most are just there to throw offers at you to try to try to get you to produce more leads.
