    That speech was 4 pages long! He could have just said, "Our budget is kind of tight, it annoys me to have NATO members that aren't even willing to contribute as members of NATO, even to their own defense, but expect American taxpayers to cover so much of the cost. If you don't try to do better in some unspecified period of time, we will be very disappointed, just like we said we would be years ago. So there."

    I might have missed some subtleties of his speech, but that's mainly what I got out of it. :)

    You appear to be in a constant state of rage. I'm not interested in having a conversation with you. Maybe you could go talk to your hand or something.

    and you appear to be in a constant state of dropping bombs on others and pretending its fine...rage? did i drop bombs on you perhaps like you did on me or X other countries around the world?...rage is what the USA does...you appear to be in a constant state of head in the sand...

    fact remains: other nato countries are very reluctant to fight your BULLSHIT wars and its super obvious that you have to twist their hand so that they share your "Views"

    and you dont want to talk to me? :rolleyes: then dont LOL

    LOL Ya right that's why everyone commissioned troops or support to Afghanistan , Iraq or Somalia . Gates unhappiness is caused by the fact that military budgets where cut due to the financial crisis .

    I would classify the countries and people who hate USA under two categories.
    1) Terrorists and countries who support terrorism.
    2) Dictators and communists
    These scum are the idols of some retarded Serbs just like you.

    NATO member states are not required to like another they are required to participate . This is why NATO is a military alliance . Judging from the fact that we are operating successfully in 3 fronts and have troops training another state I'd say we're doing pretty good .

    I see the president of DP's "I {heart} Karadzic" fan club is still pissed at everyone that broke up the ethnic cleansing party. Only song he knows.

    Hey, maybe you can get the Muslims here that don't like the US to support your whining? Oh wait... your heroes were trying to rid your country of Muslims by slaughtering them even after they were disarmed, that's why you guys got to see bombs painted "Made in USA" up close and personal. May have to forget about Muslims joining your little crusade. Tough luck fella, you're on your own.

    @mi25 yes yes the whole world is crazy its just the bomb dropping americans who are sane :rolleyes: its not my fault NATO members do not like you and have to be forced to participate in your "liberty bombings" its just fact...nobody likes you really...no reason to like you because you are an aggressive/oppressive/imperialistic wall street terrorist...why americans think they are liked by others is beyond me

    @apocalypsexl

    you do realize of course that this cooperation is not voluntary... you are successfully fighting 3 fronts? what you call avghanistan a success? lybia?

    you need to define the word success...if by success you mean : "avghanistan has been a mess for the last few decades and iraq and lybia are soon to follow" then you must be really desperate to stick your head in the sand...

    you did not "win" or "succeed" you just bombed them to rubble and claimed "victory" ...

    a forced alliance and the avghanistan/iraq joke you are trying to pull off as "success" is just desperate LOL

    you will "succeed" when other countries voluntarily join your "War efforts" and when your army actually has the cooperation of the people you "liberated" ...success is not having to ram citizens out of the way with a humvee because nobody will move for your noble noble troops... "success" is not crippling their economy to shit and then when they take jobs working for you , just to survive, you claim they "like you" and are "on your side"

    @rob jones
    I see the president of DP's "I love to drop bombs on defenseless countries and claim its brave and noble" fan club is still relying on false personal attacks as a foundation for his "Arguments" ...sorry but killing and bombing is very very american...i try not to be like you

    So we forced the troops send there to go . Right - they got payed for and where ordered by their own politicians so hardly forced . In Afghanistan the Northern Alliance was behind a large part of the ground offensive . The situation in Afghanistan is improving despite the fact that Iran and Pakistan support the terrorists much as they can .

    AS for that Humvee if you would live in a big city you'd known what at traffic jam is .

    typical american propaganda...things have been "improving" in avghanistan since 2001 the story is getting kinda old...kinda like "things are getting better in iraq if you dont count the murders and bombs"

    and if you were a brave liberating army that brought "Freedom" to them they would sure as shit move out of the way for you...you would not have to ram EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE ... they HATE you and its apparent... its only that americans believe their propaganda before they believe their own eyes

    The U.S. contributed $408.051 million and $430.381 million, respectively, in FY2009 and FY2010, according to the Congressional Budget Service.

    After the U.S., the largest contributors to NATO's military budget are Germany (16.6 percent); France (12.4 percent); United Kingdom (12 percent); Italy (7.8 percent); Canada (5 percent); Spain (4.2 percent); Netherlands (3.3 percent); Belgium (2.6 percent); Poland (2.3 percent); Turkey (1.8 percent); Denmark (1.7 percent); and Norway (1.6 percent). Fifteen countries make up the remaining 5.8 percent.

    You have to be kidding me , the money spent by the NATO to maintain it's presence in Afghanistan is a figure that is in the billions . This budget is just a small fry . Get a grip man , a few hundred millions aren't the reason of your Defense Secretary's critiques .

    If you want to get out of Afghanistan and Iraq and other wasting money bases around the world then you should vote for Ron Paul. He said it right in his speech at the first presidential debate that once hes president he will order his generals to withdraw right away. He will not let the generals make the decisions and tell us when to get out. We would save billions like you said but the FY 2009 and FY2010 budget is correct and its quoted above for NATO.

    The dems follow the Generals recommendations hint why were still there.
