does it really work ? have seen lots of file sharing sites using adsense, does it really cover the server expenses ? file sharing requires dedicated servers and lots of bandwidth, this makes up to 300$ monthly with a managed one, does adsense cover even 50% of those expenses in file sharing sites ? what i know is that content is the king, while such sites don't contain any content, then the placement and blending is almost impossible why do those sites open in the first place then !!!!
Very Good Question but since they still provide the service also with paid service i think that makes the answer is Yes .
Hi What about uploading files that contain adsense that users download? ITs the Matrix all over again
You cannot "contain adsense" in files that users download. Adsense can only be placed on live websites, on the internet.
I don't think paying in filesharing service is a good idea why do i have to pay ? to get extra download slots ? more speed ? i won't pay unless i need to download from that site, this means OTHERS upload alot on it and i need to download what others uploaded in this case RapidShare rules - but what about the others ? i think relying on the paid part of the service as a revenue from the site won't be good until you are a famous site like rapidshare or uploading or megaupload that brings us back to the advertisements part, does those sites which has no content get really good money that covers the server expenses ( and more as revenue ) ?
Looooooool torrent sites aren't allowed to display Adsense in the first place Example for file sharing sites using adsene ? mega upload - familiar with the word ?
here is an example www.dxdforum.com please note that i am not affiliated with the site and i am not a member of the site but i just provided it as an example
Says who? I got into file hosting from a good friend (the same one who introduced me into DP), thanks to him im Anyway, here is the deal. If you can get people to upload files to your site, then you ought to make money. The problem is if no one uploads, no one will visit. You also need to show yourself being reliable, so people can use your service. I myself (before) when uploading files, would use a service that I know just didn't get into business a day ago. I would also look for a site that hosts alot of files and do alot of transfer (sign of insurancy). My hosting service been in business for around 2-3 months and I already have served over 2 TB of files from 3 servers, I am looking into getting a fourth server soon enough. Peace,
