How in the world is eHow still going strong?

eHow is one of the most worst content mills online and they are still standing well within search results. This doesn't make any sense, I understand that make Google a decent amount of money with Demand Studios(owner of eHow and many other sites), but why not penalized them as well.

If you think about it the content mills was the result of Google handing out adsense codes like it was going out of style. Panda is a big fail IMO.

I say all of us start our own Content Mills with decent content and start racking in. Might not be able to rack in at DS level but enough.

I also think Google did this panda operation so webmaster would install that stupid +1

Well, probably they don't get hit with what Google algorithm restrict on the recent updates. Another thing is, there are sites that naturally rank well without much optimization effort...

I don't think that ehow is a worst content mill online. Its a great website in terms of content. Now a days Google consider contents as a king and they have great stuffs to read for visitors. eHow is an authoritative website too. Why you think that Google should not give weight-age to that website.

Some of their articles are actually pretty decent, they definitly are thorough with the content that gets pushed on it.

Actually, eHow is one of the best content mills online. They invested $300 million and it shows, they have a well-organized system. Consequently, some of the articles are quite good, and a small number are excellent. I come across ehow articles now and then when searching for things, and those that have survived panda have generally - but not always - been quite useful.

IMHO the worst content mill is - by far - ezinearticles.com, and it just so happens they got hit hard by Panda. Serves them right. Panda may have been a disaster, but it did get some things right.

Actually I agree with the original poster, I can't stand their sites with the advert stacked so close to text that you almost must activate them to get around, their content is often paper thin and rarely either original or in depth. To me they are an example of sites that should get the panda stick big time, here is hoping. it's unlikely google will ever whack them too much adsense revenue.

I think that they have to much original content to get a penalty from Google.

I think the reason why eHow is still on top because of its content. Google made the update to eliminate duplicate content among sites. Although google received numerous of opinions (good and bad) about the update that they have made, I also think its a good move to reduce those sites that are not related to what the users are really searching for.

eHow has excellent and unique content. It's all about writing unique content to avoid getting affected with Panda.

eHow did quick redesign recently as well. I know whenever I acidently clicked on a ehow link i would click back as fast as possible. But now with the redesign it looks better and it takes me longer to realize I need to retreat.
