Hello guys, my current hosting located in canada and it suck!. I'm planning to move my website to hostgator or bluehost next week. Is there any effect? from SEO factor?

I'm worried about my traffics, do you think my traffics will decrease? Thanks

Make coppy of your web site and upload to the new hosting.
DO NOT REMOVE your old content in your old account.
    Change name servers then.
After at least 72 hours remove your old content.
In this case you will have no downtime and this very very important for SEO.

Sometime google PR will goes to 0 when IP has been changed. Not occur always, but sometimes.

Do a full cpanel backup from your old hosting account then ask your new host's support staff to restore the cpanel backup for you on your new hosting account.

The downtime is high, the admin said it's because the DDos attack and sometimes my website offline for two days. That's creepy.

before you transfer first find a good host who provides you more services than your current host.Once you find good host FTP your site check whether your site is working or not, change your nameservers to new host one and cancel your old hosting plan.

Thanks for the tips, I never migrated my website to a new host before so this should be useful for me. :)

    Point 1
    Point 2
If Point 1 is correct - If your site attacked by DDOS Attackers. The (Point 2) web hosters will shutdown your site and terminate your full site and your all backups. What you will do then. So before choose any webhosting provider clear that. ;)

    Good Luck.

What? Terminate my site? I don't even backup my database and that's a nightmare! The server is down and I hope my database is safe :).
