In my opinion i don't think it will affect serp or page ranking. Its too easy and Google is too smart.
Google's +1 is nothing to do with SERPs rank or PR of a website. It is just a tool to show how many likes a webpage have. You can show number of likes and option to make +1 only when you are logged in using Google.
+1’s are like PageRank – they are a page characteristic, not a sitewide characteristic (i.e. if you +1 the home page 20 times but some internal page just 1 time the home page will show 20 +1’s and the internal one will only show one +1)
I guess it's too early to tell, but if google+1 is a failure like google wave and google buzz, then few clicks will not change anything for anyone and we'll forget about it soon. I have trouble understanding this tool. When I click on +1, does anyone knows I did it? (apart that now the page shows one more on the count). I mean when I click like, all my friends on facebook sees it, and then some click also like, that's how it gets viral. But how does it go viral with +1? Cheers, Nic
it should affect SERP you would think but the jury is still out. I've done a little playing with it and haven't seen much results... yet
I am certain that is the plan, the +1 is an attempt to force people to create unique content that people will like, rather than try to thwart the search engine algorithm, those with the highest +1 will ofcourse get the higher PR and ranking sin the SERPs
I dont think Google +1 is going to affect SERP or PageRank of a website, because Google +1 is just only social networking feature which provide relevant page suggestion to other searchers and it won't affect your SERP.
I don't think that it won't affect SERP that much but it will be surely one of the considerations to rank individual pages.
PR, not a chance IMO...But my site was #23 for more than 9 months on G for a specific keyphrase. Since I'm playing with the +1 thing (about 3 weeks ago now), it's #18! Chance? SEO? IDK...
Very soon you will start seeing - I will give you 10 Google +1 , all from different IP Address, just for $0.50 - dumb google. It is copying digg. Can not it think and focus on what it does good - the search engine.
I don't think it matters if you use different IP address, I think they care when it's different google accounts.
I have no idea about this. Then let us based on your experience. If it affects then let us know about it.
