So we just worked on releasing a press release for Johnson Morgan and White and it was done via market wire. When we did this it syndicated it to over 50 reputable news sources including Yahoo Biz, Reuters, and a handful of others. My question now is how do I know which ones are going to rank in Google and which ones it will de-credit due to the fact that it's going to see it as duplicate content? Here is an example of one of the original pieces: Johnson morgan & white PR but how does google determine which of the other copies of this are relevant and which ones are not?
I.m sorry, this is a side question. Would you mind telling how much you paid for the PR release? Thank you
This is for trying to figure out how to index Johnson morgan and white's press release if the SERP's look at all of the copies and only credit 1 or if they all get credit or just the reputable sites like MSNBC.com and Yahoo Biz.
It looks like a lot of times when you have massive press release distribution that the search engines see the reputable and authorative site with duplicate content and therefore does not rank the press release nor does it give credit to the links within it. So in this case google sees a lot of articles about johnson morgan and white but yet it does give credit to all of them. So only the first main johnson morgan and white article seems to have credit as the others are there purely for content on the site in which the PR is posted.
So update. The Market wire lands on page 2 while the same content from the Yahoo! Finance is on the first page. The Prweb press release is now fighting back and forth between page 1 and 2. Perhaps this is due to it not being duplicated content where the yahoo finance and marketwire reports for johnson morgan & white news article.
Random update now the Johnsonmorgan&White.com that was linked out to on the press releases that previously dissapeared is back to the front so I believe it was just a google bounce for a rather new site. Any other incite ?
Craig welcome long time. You have to be careful about reviving old threads as DP moderators consider it improper etiquette and may ban or penalize you. None the less good to see you on here and where is Raf these days?
