1. c-class Ip, I'm also looking for the answer. I know what c-class ip is but I'm not sure about it's importance in SEO. 2. This what I posted in another forum about nofollow / dofollow 3. Black hat SEO techniques are any illegal techniques that are used to manipulate search engine results. Bumping sites up in the search engine rankings in the wrong way. Some of the techniques include :- hidden text link cloaking buying links and not adding no follow tags on it scrapping other people's content and using it in your own site hacking other people's site and inserting links/rel canonical tag pointing to your own site (not many know about this one) White Hat SEO are all the techniques that are allowed and encouraged by Google and other search engines. Download Google's SEO started guide to learn more about SEO (mostly on site SEO) and visit blogs like searchengine land, SEO moz and many others to white hat learn SEO techniques. There is one more think is called Gray hat SEO some would deny the existence of it, as they would say it's either white hat or black hat. But I'm with the people who think gray hat exists. These techniques are not really white nor black. IMO article spinning is a gray hat technique.
A C block is the first octet of an IP address. There are fewer C blocks, so when you are gathering links chances are high that some of your link partners will be on the same C block. If you have a network of sites then some people believe that if they are on the same C block it will be easier for the search engines to find a connection between the sites and they could discount the links. If they are on different C blocks then there is a better chance that the search engines will not find a connection. There have been theories that if you have multiple sites that link to each other than you need to put them on different C blocks, but this can be difficult and expensive. I would not obsess over it. All sites with a natural link profile will have links from sites on the same C block. This is typically an advanced technique and unless you are doing black hat techniques or are trying to limit any connection between sites is not required. http://www.theinternetdigest.net/articles/ip-address-overview.html
it doesn't matter what IP your sites are on. Search engines know that one IP can be used for hundreds or thousands of sites, and there is a very good chance that most of the sites on the single IP aren't connected nor do their owners even know of the other sites' existence.
A IP is defined in folloiwng way- 125.235.67.103 A.B.C.D In above example third block on numerical value called C-Class... in general its valuable for seo point on view if you have links on different different C-Class Ip's. But in my point of view its better to have links on different Dedicated Ip compare then C-Class.
Why do we limit our selves to c-class only, there is A and B classes. Why don't we discuss about them?
C- Class IP means you have a shared IP and so you have less ranking in Google. There are various classes like A and B which are meant for those who have dedicated IP address. Do follow and No follow tags are set by the web masters. Do follow tag is beneficial for those link owners whose do follow links have been mentioned, there is no profit for the webmaster as such. SEO can be performed using both techniques white hat and black hat. White hats follows the preferred strategies where as black hat strategies use all the illegal practices for increasing your rankings. Hence black hat SEO can be penalizing.
white hat shud be the proper and legal way to do it. Black hat is refered to the illegal way, in the sense, you are using bot to help you do tonnes of stuff to stuff words and spam.
I am with your thought. from forum you can get best opnion from experience man. through forum we can share knowledge with each other.
A & B class are difficult to purchase (too costly) and i don't think there are any web host who provide any different A Or B class IP for their hosting packages...
oh is it? then it's an irony we got more A and B ip's in those classes but we can't use it for websites. What happened to demand and supply rule
Hello, 1. There are 5 types of IP ranges which exists and C class IP is one from them which has the range of 192.0.1.1 to 223.255.254.254 and it gives its support to 254 hosts with each of 2 million network. 2. Do Follow and No Follow are the important factors which can help to increase your page rank. All the links are by default do follow until there is no any specifications for no follow. No follow can prevent spams whereas do follow can increase your back links. 3. Which hat generally an SEO strategy which does promotions on the relevant sources whereas a black hat does it promotions without any relevancy even on the restricted keywords.
