You're absolutely right. I misread the notice as being a common law trademark only. I agree with complying to requests 1,2,4 as well. I'd still want to keep the website itself - I don't see any apparent infringement aside from the domain name. The domain doesn't appear to be a major money-making operation, just a poorly chosen domain.

Best bet is to just hand over the domain. Even if you feel you are right. How much money and time in court do you want to spend trying to prove it?
Yeah, this is considered a trademark infringement - as they said, you're getting free traffic thanks to their brand. There have been a lot of such cases, and it's been established that the trademark holder is right, even if they didn't register all the domains (they can't register them all, after all!). Better just give them the domain, because if they are serious, they can sue you and you'll spend much more...
