hello, i am planning to make a new e-commerce website to help my base company expand worldwide i require to know that when making a e-commerce website- what all do i require? heres the basic idea - my website will have 5 pages [home,services,products,about us, contact us] now in the produycts section, i need to list around 300+ products, which people can add to basket, and then check out with credit card, or electronic funds transfer. but the thing is i require an easy way to update the product listings [say from a database] anyone experienced have an idea"?
what im asking is what al softwares and scripts would be required to make the website work in this way?
For Ecommerce sites you can use readymade softwares like - OsCommerce & Zencart. You can set up complete ecommerce shopping mall with this softwares.
ok, i dont have much experience with making websites, espicially php and other scripts like asp are completely alien to me. all i want is a user friendly system which i as a normal person would be able to run without much sweat. also do zencart and oscommerce integrate accepting money? [i dont know how money accepted and where it would go] are these softwares hacker-safe? would it fit with custom templates?
you could look at ebay stores to get started. userfriendly but have to pay fee of US$15per mth for basic plus other listing fees. I am also looking at ebay stores also
