I've never heard of such a young child killing anyone. What happened is the mother needed to step out briefly to pick up the father, and left a teenager in charge. Apparently, there were many children in the household, and the teenager was distracted with the other children. The two year old kept crying so the 5 year old said she held him under water in the bathtub to get him to stop crying. The 5 year old doesn't understand death, and her only intent was just to stop the crying. It's a very sad case. The police have investigated, and no one has been charged. Source: The Seattle Times
That's a terrible story. Imagine how the 5 year old will feel when he gets old enough to understand what he did.

It is just a accident caused by lack of care taking . Although it is a horrible accident it is nothing more . A 5 year old no matter how smart he is doesn't have the ability to plan a murder , probably he thought that you can't cry underwater .
Okay, that is messed up man! Even if the 5 year old didn't understand death, that's still screwed up!
Really sad, but I think that such situations are rather frequent in our age. And kids do understand everything, but do it unwittingly.
