Hi all, I own this site http://autopinger.com and since it was launched on july, till now I have not seen PR appearing but there are a lot of search results when I try to search in google. Am I missing something or have I done anything wrong? I guess a lot of my members have linked to my site but this doesn't seem to affecting the PR at all. Why isn't PR show up even after 4 months and still my site is receiving traffic? Any experts here could enlighten me please? Thanks
PR hasn't updated since July. The update this month was a snapshot from July rather than a recent one.
Thanks mad4 for your reply. How do you know or find out if there is a PR update other than seeing the PR changes after some months? And usually how long would that take for a new update by Google?
Hi gr8liverpoolfan, yeah...I guess it was last week of july. So did I just miss the last update? That's bad! But I just couldn't believe it's still PR 0 after 4 months!
You could check your site over here. Changes here could reflect a change in the PR of your site http://livepr.raketforskning.com/
Hi, I am new and would like my websites to get indexed and get free search engine traffic. Any help will be appreciated. Ajeet
Don't worry. The next pr update probably will take place around Christmas. If your site has good backlinks, you'll get a decent PR.
Hi gr8liverpoolfan, Appreciate your url, will try it now! Just tried it, bad news all PR 0 from 50 datacenters! Hi Richie Ni, When you say backlinks, do you mean basically other sites link to my site regardless of what PR they have? I ask this because I offer a quick ping button for my members to be embedded into their site and each time they need a ping for their blog, they will just have to click it and it's done! You can check out my site for my info Is there a way to know how many backlinks I have for my site?
Vinson, your PR is 0 now, so the centres would show the same. During an update, the datacentres will start showing a change and it is that time that the tool will come in handy. For backlinks type in link:yoursite.com in Yahoo
Try Google Sitemaps to know for what keywords your website ranks better ! Dont Worry About PR Traffic is more important than a PR
Hi gr8liverpoolfan, Thanks, will try that in yahoo! Hi Bernard, The search results though fluctuates but generally on a rising trend on daily basis. Hi GuestID, I have already tried Google sitemap. All it does is I get indexed into Google pretty fast like a day or two and surprising there are people who found my site on the very first few days. I would have thought that it will lead my site to have a decent PR but till now it is still PR 0 but I have understood that fact now! Thanks Hi Infonote, My site is currently having about more than 10,000 visits per months but fluctuates a little and I will really wondering how my members find my site!!! I have set up a awstats for my site but I m still green with keywords and SEO, so even if there is a list of keywords which I know are my users' search terms but I don't know how to make use of it to further enhance my site. Anyone can provide me a simple tutorial how keywords work?
Seriously guys, PR means absolutely nothing in terms of traffic, don't waste your time looking at it.
Yes.But it would be better if you could get backlinks from high PR sites. I ask this because I offer a quick ping button for my members to be embedded into their site and each time they need a ping for their blog, they will just have to click it and it's done! As someone said, try to do a search in Yahoo,Not bad result!
This is enlightening! I guess these are knowledge that a lof of folks like myself are missing out. By the way, how do you get the results that you posted in Yahoo? I try but didn't get as many links!!!! I tried link:autopinger.com but not as many as you did!
I have heard sometimes Google ignores/bypasses to update the PR of a particular site...but then for the next update; upgrades the PR as a whole - meaning a double update of the rangkings. So if the site is doing proper SEO, it might experience a major PR boost during the next update.
Hi Richie Ni, Thanks for the info Hi rezx, I hope this is true. At the very least no one is confident of using a site with PR 0 though.
