    Preferred domain setting is as how do i want my URLs to be displayed by google whether as www.yourdomain.com or simply yourdomain.com.

    Hi Radha,

    "Google webmasters" wants to ask you how you want us to crawl your website link. It is usually www.yourdomain.com so do the settings with "www"

    Hi Radha,

    Please login to this page: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools and verify your website. Once you verified - Go to "Site Configuration" tab and then go to settings. Click on display URL as: www.alyshaan.com (most preferred) and you can do it as alyshaan.com

    But my site is already verified but then too its showing me this message--"Part of the process of setting a preferred domain is to verify that you own http://southerncargopackers.in/. Please verify http://southerncargopackers.in/."

    Go to SITE CONFIGURATION that you can see in the left side of your Google Webmaster Tools and click SETTINGS.
    You can choose whether you like your website has the 'www' or not.
