I am interesting in a email list service that I can integrate with WordPress... I am hoping that it is free... And can comply with CANSPAM without me having to have a PO box or giving out my personal address. Anyone know of any that would meet those requirements? Thank you. I hope I am posting this in the right forum, this does seem to fit the best out of all of them.
Mailchimp is free, until you get a certain amount of subscribers but they don't let you do affiliate marketing, and if you do you can lose your list. I just found that out not too long ago. I'm using listwire.
If your database does not exceed the 500 contacts (emails) you can use e-goi.com email marketing tool. You can send emails as you like for free if do not exceeds 500 contacts. They also have a Wordpress plugin that you can find at wordpress.org.
Thank you Maa. I use also Mailchimp but apparently I didn't read the ToS carefully enough and didn't know that you're not allowed to do affiliate marketing. So, I need to change my service provider quickly before I lose my list.
Ok, now I read the ToS of iContact and this is what it says: "Prohibited Content and Commerce Statement: 7. pyramid schemes, multi-level channel and/or network marketing opportunities, including, but not limited to personal work-at-home offers promoting "get rich quick," "build your wealth," and "financial independence" offerings;" So, basically that means that you can't use it to market IM products. Anyone knows any other services that hasn't these restrictions?
Actually, I found it myself. List Wire is the solution if you're looking for a quality free autoresponder service.
But with Mail Chimp I signed up a little while ago.. probably a day or so before posting this... and I think they want you to list a PO Box or address so it complies with can spam... or do they just list their own if you leave this blank? Is this somehow not a requirement? Is it for the others posted here? Thanks.
These days email auto responders have to follow the ICANN spam act, so that means a real address and real name of the sender is required, no getting away from this
You can use the free services but why would you? Why not suck it up and pay the $1 trials most of the reputable AR services offer? They have a much higher deliver rate than the free ones. Plus you are not restricted on what you can send.
If you use free mailchimp, you need to put their affiliate link in the bottom of your message if I'm not mistaken. Personally I've never tried their service, so I couldn't tell much.
GetResponse has an "always free" package and it's got really easy to use tools and helpful support. They have just launched the interesting promotion – next 1000 new sign ups are guaranteed prizes like iPads, Kindles, MarketingProfs ebooks, etc.
