What's the etiquette for leaving comments on other people's blog articles? Is okay to always leave a link to your blog as long as the comment is thoughtful? I'm new to this and I've been leaving comments on other peoples blog that are in my niche, but haven't got much traffic back to my blog. I'm not leaving links to my blog, hoping that the readers will go out of there way and click on my name/profile which would lead them to my blog. That, I'm afraid of rubbing the blog owner the wrong way. If you can give me some advice on this, I would appreciate it. My blog is on beer, so let me know if you have any ideas on how I could target my audience a little better. Thanks! http://beerinspector.blogspot.com/
If you leave a thoughtful reply you have nothing to worry about. Its when idiots leave comments like "Great post" or simply repeat something you've said in the blog post thats what frustrates me the most and I delete those comments.
If you comment on blogs, you really should have your own blog, for instance. If you advertise your software on a personal blog, it had better be a personal blog for someone who has just asked, "Does anyone have a better application for x-ing?
I agree. As a blog owner, I don't approve comments that say "Great post, I will bookmarked your blog" or "thanks for the post". I only approve comments that say something meaningful or add something value to the blog post.
Blog comments becomes very popular due to one way link & free links. So every one can easily do it. I think this is a good if we have some valuable comments on site to attract others.
now days most people comment just to have backlinks to their sites. and when you come to blog and comment " thanks nice blog" or other comments like this, ordinary the blog owner will not approve to your comment. so as you lost some time in writing your comment...spend more time to write useful comment so by this you will get the back links and may be the much visitor thanks
Try to comment on the blog who has commentLuv or Do follow. These blog will automatically link back to your website or blog.
