How does exchange links work

    factors to consider:
    Same niche
    Site with good reputation
    Good Traffic
    Less Outbound links
    Good Page rank

    but you won't find a site that has all these!!

    You don't want to exchange links with a spam site. If someone request a link exchange make sure you take few minutes to check out the site. And geeks4share's list is a great guide, but as he mentioned it, you will unlikely find all on the same site.

    Basically a link exchange is where you link them on your website and they link you on theirs.

    - Same Niche
    - Quality Site
    - Lots of Pages (that way you get more backlinks if you have a sitewide link exchange)
    - Good Traffic

    Exchange link is just as it sounds you exchange links and traffic. Just like the others said though make sure it is in your niche if possiable.

    Better don't do it. Each outband link from your site's main page harms your site.

    It doesn't really harm it at all... you might be referring to the fact that the link juice from a particular page goes down as you increase the number of outbound links, but it won't hurt the overall PR on your site or page.
