Imho it would be wiser to keep your job (ie. money to live form) and do this parttime until you get the hang of it and you can use that money to reinvest.
Oh yeah, that's why there are dozens of multi-million companies offering services It should not remain a work-for-dollar thing. If your company grows you outsource, hire people, etc etc. You are actually building a service providing business where you are a business owner and are not trading your time for money any more. And even if you were trading time for money. I know some people making well over $250 an hour. You do the math, that money can be reinvested or you can retire young.
Congrats i work from home since 2004 My main income is from freelancing ... It will take time untill the sites will start earning some decent money ...
I think that is an awesome first month. Most people make nothing or lose money in their first month online. I know I lost money at first. Keep up the good work.
congrats on your success. you asked how do you fund the growth of your business. the way i fund the growth is when i make a sale, i will take some or all of the profits and put the money back into marketing. so you made over $400 dollars. i would take $200 and put it back into marketing. you just keep on doing that. if you stay consistent that momentum will kick in.
Unfortunately was not the kind of job that allowed me the time to start my own business. I would have been doing this as a "hobby" for another 10 years not makng much money at it if I had not quit my job. I have some savings, so not living on the wire yet! Exactly. My charge out rate (that the company charged for my services) when I wore a suit was over $400/hour. Exactly, I am glad to see a little bit of income coming in already. On may 1st I got my frist clickbank sale! AdSense coming in.....have the freelance SEO work to keep cash flow coming in until my sites are supporting me. Then all my time can be focussed on improving the sites and building new ones!
Well done. I'm a few months into make money online and only making $500 a month now. I need to work harder now.
Nice job, I only have 1 question. Can you give me your source of link building? exchange?, free directories?, buying links?
Exactly! Maybe I had a lucky month! Will see at the end of May Depends on how much work I need to do to complete. I use directories, web2.0's, high quality article directories, blog postings, blog comments, etc.
Your approx income from adsense is 3% and rest is Backlinking, click bank takes time and traffic some time it does require to pre sell your product but you will learn the tricks soon, slowly and steadily you can increase you income. Create goals and work on achieving it give you 110% and you will make much more than this.
Thanks Exactly the reason I am starting my business by doing a combination of building my own properties (and monetizing them) and providing service. The service I offer brings in immediate cash flow while my own properties grow. In a couple months when they are earning a fair income I can stop offering service and devote al my time into growing my network of sites
Month of May Update! I just finished my 2nd month working at home and made $755 this month. Here is my May stats compared to last month (April). AdSense went in the wrong direction, but overall everything has been moving forward positively. I also purchased 13 new domains in May, so will hopefully be able t up my AdSense and Affiliate income this month!
Congrats again, I think you're taking the right path of starting small and working up to it. These kind of stories are always interesting so I'm gonna keep any eye out, I love the disclosure I think it helps everyone know that it can be realized.
It was a sale on a Clickbank product (I actually had over $80 in comissions but there was a refund during the month) You can - what's stopping you?
Inspiring post! I just quit my job to travel and write as a vagabond and found this whole thread informative and realistic. Question: should niche sites be related to your flagship? Also what is meant by outsourcing links and services? is it selling your work to others at a cheaper rate? is there content on any of the niche sites or you just built the layout?
