I have a site about travel,and are 3rd place in google for a one keyword. how i can to up to first place? i try to change site description and keyword, but don't works. Why should I try?

 

You are fortunate enough that you are in top 3 position. Changing site description and keywords wont help.. You need to get more back links to your site from authoritative websites.

My site is #1 on google for the term: health and fitness forums and there are 92,800,000 results competing for that term (including the Yahoo Health and Fitness Directory). It took YEARS and thousands of dollars worth of OFF-Page SEO as well as optimizing site content. Making changes to the on-page meta tags etc. can actually harm you if you were already ranking well for that term. Focus on directory submissions, UNIQUE articles (don't submit the same article to thousands of directories) and link exchanges. If you can get other sites to link back to you, you'll rank better (even without ANY on-page SEO).

Google bombing isn't as successful as it used to be but relevant back-links still improve rank.

which page you want to be visible in search results? if you are looking for home page results than it may not help you in getting online queries.
focus on niche taget market and target local google (google.co.uk etc) then optimize the respective page of services. you will get more queries in this way
