Get some good PLR's and search for the right keywords, then place them on your forum, you can check my blogger.

You will need two things: 1) Trust; and 2) Age Domain

As you are already know, there are only three types of traffic (direct, reference, and search engine).
Since direct would be hard for you at this point, I would recommend to focus on search engine and reference.
The site, Youripad4free will be pretty tough to hit the keywords on Google if your site is fairly new. Also, there are a lot of competition out there by other people.
I am assuming that you are targeting for free ipad, ipad for free, or ipad4free. Unless you have a great strategic plan and commitment, I wouldn't even try to optimize those keywords.
At this point, your best bet is to hit longtail keywords, and this will require some time to create your niche keywords.

Step 1: Before wasting time, figure out which keywords you are targeting; this can save you energy and resource.
Step 2: After finding those keywords, start writing quality articles about it. Remember, it's not about the numbers of articles, it's all about the quality.
Step 3: Of course, you can offer free iPad and start building your mailing list
Step 4: After writing a quality landing page, start building backlinks from web 2.0. Normally, people would create any type of typepad or blogspots. Instead, try to contact some bloggers and give them a buzz.
Usually, people don't like to contact other people, but this is a lot faster than trying to create backlinks from multiple websites.
Step 5: Use social networking site such as Reddit, Digg, and so on. Try to build credibility with the community.
This is what I did. I paid some highly trust people to buzz about my promotion. Usually, it takes them less than 10 minutes to post a link for you. Offer him $10+ per link.
After trying with multiple paid posters, you will know which member has the best conversion to your landing page.
