I am struggling at 150 Lbs using barbell right now. I can do 170 with dumbbell. However, i am below average since a healthy man should be able to bench his own weight This guy is benching 1008 pound..what a beast....
Hurt shoulder still so a measily 315-325 ATM. I hope to hit 'shoulder willing' 400+ by the end of the year. Don't think my shoulder is going to let me though!
#1 how are you benching more via dumbbell? That makes no sense, dumbbell should be less than barbell unless you're doing it wrong 'seriously' I don't know on dumb bell, my gym only has dumbbells up to 100lbs, I do them in sets
I got these nice 12 ounce barbells. But they must be defective. They keep getting lighter and then I have to get a new one.
dumbells are individual weights that you pick up in each hand. A barbell is a single metal bar that you slide weights onto both ends of.
I forgot to note my listed max is what I'm comfortable lifting by myself as I never have a spotter. Just thought of that, watched so many guys lift weights with a spotter or incorrect form. With proper form or no spotter pulling up for them, they would not have gotten it.
you just like saying spotter. I think I found the perfect match for you. This will put aside all those spotting issues - she could spot you and then some \
LOL! 15 years ago, I was throwing shot and discuss in highschool, not to mention running a couple of miles a day and working out regularly. Then-Upper body workouts 3 days a week, lower 2 days a week plus the running and throwing a stupid round ball. Damn was in pretty good shape then. Now 10 years of marriage and 2 kids later, I can barely walk upright let alone find time to work out.
