Which is the best free forum software

I want to start a forum. What is the best free software that provides both free domain and hosting. The only one I know is phpBB from www.phpbbnow.com
Are there any similar things

 

phpBB is good. There are others but I like more phpBB. About free hosting for a new forum check this out:

MyBB is my favorite. Fast, good feature set and has some great themes available for free.

 

PunBB coz.. facebook forum use it. http://forum.developers.facebook.net/

 

phpbb i think is the better one more support then mybb My favorite though is VB. I have 4.1.3 and love it and most popular with users.

what forum software does DP use

 

I tend to favor the ionisis UFBB ( ufbb.ionisis.com ), but then again, i'm a bit partial . It IS, however, very simple, and free.

As far as free: Phpbb or SMF.

As far as paid: IP Board or Vbulletin

vBulletin is not free... I suggest SMF due to it's opensource and have a lot of plugins.

 

Are you looking for any free forum hosting and free sub domain?I know the best two websit.That is freeforums.org and freesmf.net.Freeforums.org is no ads.

 

For a free forum I would recommend ZetaBoards.com

 

The best forum is the one with visitors.
