Article marketing definitely works. However, excessive keyword research is not necessary. I used to spend a ton of time doing keyword research, now I simply pick a keyword and write an article around it, including the keyword three or four times and anchor text them. This method brings more traffic to my articles than spending forever finding the perfect keywords.

Good article, but you seemed to forget off-page SEO. In SEO, on-page SEO doesn't matter as much as off-page SEO. When your website ranks well, you can get autopilot income. For me, SEO is the best promoting method, especially for affiliate marketing, because affiliate marketing is not easy, but once you're good at it, you can get nice income.

 

Isn't Forum marketing, article marketing considered off-page SEO ?

I agree - YouTube is the way to go. Video is the format of the future, and it's easy to see why.

You can put across your sincerity, and desire to help people ahead of your sales message, so you build trust and rapport with your prospects. They can actually see who you are, and as long as your message is on target there's a much bigger chance they'll buy.

Don't forget the other video sharing sites as well.

You can use Aweber, they are pretty good. However, your emails will have to opt in first.

I would not aim for $5000 per month now. All I want to aim now is $3000 per month from affiliate marketing. I have tried hard but it is not easy.

I think affiliate marketing is a bit tricky, and when you know the trick it is easier to get sales for your selected product.

Building a email list is one of best practice, give some stuff free in return of the customers email address, this is how most of the experts in affiliate marketing, & Internet Marketers do.

 

It depends on the keywords... If they are searched about 10 times per month they will be low competing but for a good reason. Everything should be well balanced to make you successful.
