I just went to read a couple of articles over at Shoemoney's blog, and I must say for as much fuss as there is about Shoemoney and his blog it is really unprofessional to see his blog littered with misspelled words. Shoemoney spell check before you post. You can not be in the affiliate business and misspell the damn word. Spell checking every post should be a must for everyone publishing content. There is nothing worse than having someone say from a big publishing company or media trying to potentially feature your article and find it full of grammatical errors. Spell check before you publish.
Judging from the amount of money he makes, I don't think the misspellings on his blog are hurting him all that much I'd rather read his advice and deal with the mistakes than not have any advice at all, or get the advice late due to excessive spell checking! Although the "affilaite" post you mention did make me chuckle when I first saw it...
Mistakes happen and I am sure he couldn’t give a flying hoot on typos; after all it probably has little or no effect on his earnings. One doesnt need to look far to find yours.
I dont care about spelling. Plus if you check out your hosting site there are errors with that run on sentance the first line. You need to use one of these ";" Just an FYI Oh and i might be mistaken but isnt cannot one word and not two??
Actually it's been found that misspelling key words can bring more traffic that writing them correctly. Since the "competition" for these words is very low to non existent and many people misspell when searching in haste.
Who fu**ing cares. It's his blog. He doesn't make any real money with it. He does it for fun and to help others. ...and...yes...it IS to words.
Spelling correctly is important not only from a business standpoint but also to preserve the English language. Bastardizing and not caring about it says a lot about you guys. http://www.askoxford.com/asktheexperts/faq/aboutspelling/cannot
actually there is one more http://www.shoemoney.com/2006/10/23/no-live-show-tomorow/ but check this out http://blog.payitforwardonline.com/2006/09/30/can-you-read-this/ who cares...even he worte in Arabic i will read his blog
1. If you had a choice between being an asshole or a nice guy which one would you rather be? 2. If you had a choice between speaking proper English and spelling correctly or speaking Ebonics and misspelling which one would you rather be? Your choices might define who, what and how you are and may affect how people perceive you and if they want to do business with you. Point is spelling, correctly has more benefits than misspelling.
Migh how deluded you are! His blog earns him lots of money and helps him build his brand too. He doesn't do it cos he's a nice guy, it's 'cos he wants Mo Money. Plus every guy has an ego that requires feeding. In any case you are right, who cares. He prides himself on his lack of regard for spelling and that is I guess the 'charm' and part of the Shoemoney product. Pete
Why not take your own advice and check the grammar of the first sentence in your own post before you cast so many stones?
its just a fkcing blogg, not an acaedimic theesis. jsut reelax doode. ass long ass you cn undrstand the post who raelly carez how itsz splled? -braendin
Actually...misspellings and factual errors can be spun to your advantage... I am using it as an incentive to get folks to read the content in my biweekly newsletter. Here is what I wrote: ------------------------------------------------------------ MY MISTAKE -- As it was pointed out to me by one of my readers…I made an error in the information I provided last week about the Daylight Saving Time changing next year – I wrote that in 2007, it will start on the third Sunday in March, when actually DST will start on the second Sunday in March. Thank you Jo – I am sending you a promotional code for $5 off your next order for not telling anyone about my mistake. I am also extending this same opportunity to you and the other readers – In an effort to provide you with informative and entertaining content, I do want to make sure that I am disseminating the correct information. So, if you find a factual error please let me know. To do this, you can always reply to this email as it is programmed to come straight back to me. Unfortunately grammatical errors don’t count, because I have a “Get Out Of Grammar Free Card.†Although, I will except spelling mistakes…as I don’t want to look like that big of an idiot! ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------ Now...before someone starts flaming me - yes I know there is an error (or two) in there. That is the point, to get folks to read everything I write - like a game of where's Waldo. If I get 10-20 more sales out of customers like guru-seo, then I win. Not saying the Shoemoney is doing this...but IMHO spelling mistakes sometimes can be twisted to your advantage. So that being said, are you just making Shoe's mistakes bigger than they are? Shoe's situation: He who has the gold, makes the rules! PurplePeeps
