Nope. I'm in column E. E for excellence! PS You should have sponsors pay a set price for sponsoring a column and have a live link from the letter of the column.
Thats intersting concept. thats great idea if he also sell the thats perfect scripts with his links. ( link baiting ) Your column last box so attractive then another ones. Cheers
Yay! I was refunded my $8 this morning. Twas a nice surprise. Now just waiting for another bidder in Column A. Any takers?
Yeah I've been wondering about my TOS... From the beginning I've had loads of requests for multiple ad buttons for the same site. I let yfs1 have 2 buttons because the buttons were different and because the 2nd button referred to a specific section of the site. (and because he was my first customer and they get special treatment I still think each button should be unique, it looks much better that way but I'm wondering whether I should allow different buttons for the same site? What you guys reckon?! PS welcome on board to all the new members!
I think the buttons should be unique. As far as the subpage, I have individually designed landing pages which are all unique which I figure is a good thing for the directory. Not sure if someone was just submitting MFA auto generated crap It is your call though
If I were you and it's probably not the most popular decision among everyone but you should let people re-buy their positions on the column they bought a link on. So if they want to be nearer the top they have to buy the position again and their link goes to the top and the one at the bottom dissappears. What do you reckon?
Actually that's not a bad idea at all... full of good ideas you are! I'm a little reluctant to make things more complicated though... it might make working out who's paid what more difficult... I should make a decision quick cos I've had to turn quite a few people away and I've got one order pending right now...
Great to see another entry in the A column, I doubled my money and have got traffic to boot. I'm really hoping this spreads like wildfire around the Web. BTW here is the Digg link for the site: http://www.digg.com/business_finance/Advertise_your_website_and_get_double_your_money_back
Ok after some thinking I've decided that I will allow multiple buttons for the same site. The main reason being that it seemed unfair to penalize people who had bought buttons early on and say that they could never buy one again and get back at the top of the page. However buttons themselves will have to be unique! Also I think I'm going to work on smartening up a few buttons making them look a little nicer/slicker! Hope noone minds! Re Digg, I had a whole Digg campaign planned out for later on actually because I figure it's still early days now, the numbers probably aren't high enough to get your average joe excited... but I gave myself a Digg all the same!
I was thinking the same thing...Peak early and all you get is copycats. Choose your moment and it could be priceless. Anyway. you probably don't want a front page until you get the automation worked out. PS Column A is mine again Wooohooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to see the 'peak' sooner rather than later. To be honest, I can code the same thing in under 24 hours or have it done on GAF for $100 and piss all over it if I spend $2K on marketing. Not that I will but others might. So time is running out. Get your marketing hat on.
It is just the automation part that is a bit scary since technically a bunch of people could buy ads at the same time, etc
That's a problem that will come there and then. Missing the boat is a bigger issue IMO. Besides indeed the button queing/reserving (use IPN to update the drop-down lists of where people want to have their button and perhaps a tick-box saying "not fussed which column as long it's this price" which could help you out), add a blog. Many folowed the MDHP blog and with RSS it's a good way for press to keep up to date.
