I think you have to be very careful, but I don't think it shouldn't be done. If you are buying links in a spammy way, then I would not recommend it. Look at it this way, if someone were to question you as to why you paid to place a link in a certain place could you give good reason? Say Google penalized you and banned your site because they found out you were buying links, which is against their policy, could you have a legitimate rebuttal as to why you bought that link placement?

I think its a waist of time myself. Just do it yourself it may take more time but worth it in the long runn . So many of the link buying never get done they only take your money and when they do it most of the sites are full of spamm and cruddy links. Do it yourself with articles, Bog and forum comments. Make sure they are do follow which most now a days are. Related to your site if possiable. Do facebook fan pagee good way to get links they are no follow but most have good traffic.

If google knows of the link buying site, the will scrutinize all the links on the website, it could possibly harm your ranking.

Well digital points has an ad running to buy " PR9 sites " from forums apparently. When you read the forums you can see a lot of links that are actual ads, and my guess is that they don't do it for free! So or google doesn't know ads are running here, or digital point has find a way to hide it!

Has anyone tried to buy link from the company that digitalpoint is promoting? Is it worth it?

    Thanks

I run and manage several link building companies and as long as I find new links for my customers they dont seem to have any problems. Its very important to have many different URL's pointing to there site. Every week or so I try to deliver different websites for them. I have some customers ranking for very competitive insurance phrases. You have to look for quality vs quantity. I started selling links on eBay when 5 PR5 links would cost $150 now there is hundreds of people selling PR5 -PR10 links on ebay (which is a complete scam because you get a PR0 links). Its far more important to get a pr2 backlink with one comment over a pr4 with 100 comments and links. So in my opinion there is nothing wrong with purchasing backlinks but just make sure you know who you are dealing with and try to deal with one person not a giant company so you can address issues as they arise. Try to avoid trading links because that diminishes the value of the link you are receiving. If anyone has any questions please ask.

Link buying poses some very big risks. For one, you might get caught by Google and get penalized for it. Another is the cost. I would rather have someone build links for me naturally, but that's my preference. You might find this post on buying links helpful.

Much better to build your own links, or pay someone to do it well for you - which is the same as link buying I suppose.

Buying links can be expensive. When you buy a link for the goal should be 2x the traffic and add a page / site for the user.

Text Link Ads is probably the most important to exchange links, but a number of others. Article Writing is a good strategy if you can syndicate other websites. Otherwise, getting links to the same article, in contrast to other areas.

Many webmasters are looking to exchange links for free. Just contact by email websites from your niche or nearby, and you'll get tons of links.

LinkBuilding is in fact the most important part of SEO. You can't beat your competition unless you have enough backlinks that will take you above your competitor.

It is a very good and efficient way to get quality backlinks, if handled properly.

Slow down when typing, unless you really think "link building" is not allowed.

I think you want to have more than PR to base your decision to buy a link on.
Buy links that are on targeted sites that are going to send quality traffic to your site.

I would not buy comments or spammy links...

but surely if your link to them is of the same value as the backlink then they just cancel each other out?
