I have several sites, two I have worked hard on to get a PR6, and some are PR5, PR4, and many PR3s and below. Now I have one site I did not do much work on. It has many content on a subdomain. And on every subdomain has many content too. Each page is linked to every other page all on the same domain. I uploaded it and just got only a few inbound links just to get it indexed. Then in the last PR update, Google gave me a PR7 and I barely did a thing. Up to now I am still puzzled why Google gave me that PR. Has anyone else here got mysterious PR7s you don't know why you got them?
try to find the link:www.yoursite.com and see how many inbound link you have for that.. hmm I wish I could get that high PR.. What's your site URL, may be interested to buy one or two links frm there
damn...why does google not give mmmmeeee the PR7 ;-) ! Maybe you have got a very high backlink! Wahts the site?
They seek content in determining page rank, the more you have the better usually, but it has to be qualitity content and no repeats content. If new quality content is added eveyday (even just a page), then that can also raise pagerank significantly. In addition if your domain is registered for only a year or less, that may actualy lower pagerank so if you have a few years before expiration, you might see a good pagerank. Hope that helps. (All info here is derived from the Google pagerank patent)
Michalowski: Nice info. It partially explains things I guess. mpea: Yes I am selling links. Infonote/toby: I was trying to search for that good IBL. I cant seem to find out which is it. Most of the links are from my other sites. Toby: I will PM you if interested in buying a link. aditya_sfs: LOL. Thanks. And my father is not in Google. He's been in heaven since 1996. LOL. LadyHoldem: Thanks trichnosis: Not a problem, but it may be a Google mistake and on the next PR update sometime in January, the PR might go down, just like what Lexiseek said. But I will give it an IBL boost before January comes and hopefully I still keep the PR in there. abcde: I'll PM site only to people interested in buying links. I do not give out the URL because I got several SEO friends that are on DP that might ask for a free link. And I do not want the page filled with free links from friends. Raj: To the PR7, not any secret that I know. But for my PR6 to PR4 websites... part of the secret is doing directory submissions. And Raj is one of the great people doing that.
Hmm, Its mine actually, Google made a booboo... give me back pls.... I will PM you PR transfer details
Can you add me to your PM list with the URL and price for a link? Thanks so much and congratulations!
Did you ever stop to realize that maybe the "work" you are doing to try to escalate the PR of your other sites is actually hurting you and the reason you have a PR7 from this site is because you let it gain popularity naturally and organically? No, probably not.
