Access your PC from anywhere, for free

I've never used one of these programs before but tried www.logmein.com this morning and its great.

Took 5 minutes and I can access all the programs and files from my home PC through a web browser.

The best thing is its free.

 

i have never tried anything like this before. might give it a try laters.

 

Another program is http://www.gotomypc.com but its not free. $19.99 a month.

 

I use that , its a great system!

 

I heard about that one on the radio. If you use the promo code smooth you get something free or .. I dunno, but smooth is a promo code.

 

This sounds really good. Must say I havent used it before!

 

had heard of them before but never used it - was not sure about the security - how fast is it in accessing the remote pc files, mad4?

 

Its about half the speed of normal ftp uploads. Still OK though.

 

Are you sure its safe to use ... away from fraudal activities.

 

You install a program on your home PC and provide login details and a password. To log in you need your account name and password.

They offer reports of all the sessions as well.

Don't ask me if its secure or not.

 

thats the problem installing it on my PC, i am already facing a lot of probs due to new sort of spyware. you can understand that now a days security is becoming a big issue.


other prob is if its FREE... the suspect comes in..wether it is safe or not.

 

Hmm.. Being free is not very convincing for me. I preffer professional alternatives.

 

They do professional version. Pay for that if it makes you feel better.
