Blogging only with existing content - is it possible to drive traffic?

    Hello guys.

Owner of a sourcing company in China, I'm tired of being tied up to a place to earn my leaving. So here we are, I'm trying to learn internet marketing in order to earn money online, wherever I'll be living.

    My question are:
    - is it possible to create a blog using free articles (like articlebase) and still drive traffic to it?
    - Is there a wordpress pluging that can automatically notify all social media every time I post a new blog (facebook, squidoo, twitter, digg, etc...). Free plugin or have to pay?
    - Is there a way to link a contact form (like using contact form 7) with mailchimp? Like having a question on my form "do you want to subscribe to newsletter" and notify mailchimp to build up a list. Is there a plugin for that or an add on to contact form 7?

I have a lot of questions, but will try to post them on appropriate section (for the one not directly related to wordpress).

Thanks in advance for your help

Your website is about the best way to make money on the Internet, but your post suggests you don't know how to make money on the internet.

The best thing you can do is provide original content by writing about what you do know. You apparently know about sourcing in China, so why don't you write about that? A lot of people would be interested in how to set up and run a successful sourcing company in China and other emerging markets. Nobody wants to read another 'How to make fast money on the Internet by a complete novice who sources his articles from other places and automatically notifies social media'.

A good writer writes about what he knows. Successful social media networking is about gaining respect, not spamming.

    Hi Netizenx,

Thank you for your honest answer, I appreciate it.

I don't like to write and more importantly I don't know how to write (even more difficult in English as I'm not native), that's why I was wondering if it was possible.

I already have a blog about sourcing (in French) and I'm driving around 12000 visitors per month, that's why I had the feeling I could succeed in internet marketing. My content is indeed original, but because the writing is so slow I only have around 40-50 articles (in almost 2 years).

The blog I'm setting up is just for testing so far, and because I'm trying to succeed at making money online, i choose this blog subject so at the same time I could learn for myself (by reading lots of articles and testing plugins and different SEO techniques).

So let me rephrase my question but know this:
    - I read all the articles I post and try to avoid bad written articles (obvious mispelling and poor writing skills)
    - I try not to post articles too "product" oriented promoting to buy some stuff, but I try to post articles of general internet marketing knowledge and help people
    - My google webmaster show that I already have around 45 pages indexed (in 2 weeks), knowing that my french blog about sourcing has maybe 54 pages indexed.

So if I do a proper SEO job in getting backlinks, will I drive traffic to my site? If my blog as not great content (because not original), wouldn't people more inclined to hit the google ads because they might find what they are looking for (that they cannot find on my blog)?

But I agree, my next blogs will be original content and more useful for the reader.

You can certainly drive traffic to your site with existing content but updating your site with fresh content daily will help you drive more traffic to your site. Here are some great methods to build traffic to your site:

    1. Create a video about website or business and then submit it to Tube Mogul. This site will send your one video to multiple video sharing sites such as Youtube and Vimeo.
    2. Record an audio recording about your business or website using the Podomatic website and then submit your podcast to multiple rss feed and podcast directories.
    3. Social Bookmarking your blog's posts- You can use a free automatic social bookmarking tool called Imautomator. This will save you loads of time.
    4. Write a press release about your website and submit is to Prlog or Prweb.
    5. Article marketing- Create unique content about your site and submit it to article directories.
These methods will help you build backlinks to your website.

I would'nt advise using content from article base to place on your site because it's duplicate content. There's a free plugin called Only Wire that will submit your content to different social networking sites.

    @Carla and Otjutt,

Thank you very much for your answers... it really helps a lot and I appreciate the sharing :)

Carla, Imautomator seems awesome.... I'll see the result in a few month if it's good or not.

    Thanks again
