As of today Herman Cain announced he will be running for 2012 republican president candidate. Here was his video Background: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/05/21/businessman-herman-cain-set-join-2012-gop-race/
I think this guy have a good chance of winning the nomination. He talks well. What bothers me is that he is using a major part of the message Ron Paul has and add some popular stuff. I wonder if it's truly genuine... Also, he don't see any problems with the Federal Reserve and have a history working for them: "Cain became a member of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1992 and served as its chairman from January 1995 to August 1996, when he resigned to become active in national politics." I won't vote for him as I'm not american. But honestly it doesn't bother me whoever get elected president, unfortunately there is no choice in US president, it's always the same two party republican and democrat, how boring is that.. take your pick, vanilla or chocolate.. Oh you like strawberry? Well you have to choose it's democracy, vanilla or chocolate.
I'm not talking that there is no other candidate, I'm saying in the end, when people get to vote, it's always between republican and democrats for as long as I've been aware of US elections, it's always those two party and to be honest I know not much at all about US politics, but from my novice point of view it seems there's always the choice between republican and democrat in the end. That's all I'm saying. Well perhaps it is better than having the same dictator for decades, at least in the US the faces change.
Voting every 2 and 4 years (national state local) and changing faces has more an impact than one might imagine, even between only 2 parties. And time to digest the outcomes.
First of all he is a Rep as the rest of them, he is indeed a weird fish in the bunch though. But he does not have any chances. Sorry. ( I really am ).
