Where we can upload robots.txt file on server?

i don't know the exact location to upload a robots.txt file on server? So, i need help from your side regarding this problem...i hope you will not disappoint me.....

The robots.txt file must be uploaded to the root accessible directory of your site, not a subdirectory. It should be something like /public_html/ or /htdocs/ depending on your host set up.

Update at root directory.

 

robots.txt file is placed in root directory.

It should be like www . domainname. com/robots.txt

Upload it in the root where you are having you index file. After uploading the file check it as yourdomain[.]com/robot[.]txt
