I currently have my links like this /%postname%/ - I'd like to change them to this /%post_id%/%postname%/ (because I read that it helps the site load faster). Is there way to have /%postname%/ links (on other sites) automatically redirect to the /%post_id%/%postname%/ links? Thanks in advance
where have you read /%post_id%/%postname%/ make blog loading faster? Do not forget to use Dean's permalink plugin for your old posts
Reading the wordpress permalink blurb it suggests /%post_id%/%postname%/ and not the other way round you could use default structure and install a prettylink plug-in
There is actually a free plugin called Redirect that works pretty well. A lot of speed is your hosting, and your own connection and route to your pages. what may seem slow or fast to you could be fast or slow to another person accessing your site. Before you jump the gun and mess up your existing SEO you might want to figure out how fast your site really is and if it's really worth the changes.
My site has been loading so slow... thanx for the plugin recommend. Finally, people might stay on my blog
