Ok, i had some violations to one of my sites, which i dont disagree with, so what happened was, they said they would disable my adsense for this particular site and if any further violations are made, I MAY be banned in the future. My question is, do you think this meant that if i make these changes to comply with adsense, they will let me run adsense on this particular site again? This site was bringing me the most $$ so I'm worried now. What do you guys think??? Thanks
I think it was just a warning. Meaning they would ban you completely from the adsense program if there were any other violations.
Yes that's what I thought. I changed everything and for now the ads are not showing up, do you think they will place it back seeing that I changed everything they asked to be changed?
Well, it will also depend on what are you offering.. what violations you do not agree with ? may b ppl here will provide some good suggestions
No, I did agree with everything, and I have changed all of it. But since I changed it, I just wanted to see if they would put it back.
I still think, you provide some more info.. like wat was the warning all about.. which site are u talking abt ?? i saw ur profile.. I dont think "visioneffectx.com" is the site that ur refering to ??
ok, the site is www.hiphopvideomodels.net The violations were... that my menu items were integrated too much with the ads itself...I had also little images close to the ads, WITH BORDERS. They said it made visitors think that it was part of the menu. You won't se that anymore since I already changed it. "Publishers may not implement Google ads in a manner that disguises the ads in any way, for instance, by formatting neighboring content to look similar to the ads, or by making ads look like games or forum threads. Additionally, publishers may not attempt to associate specific images with the individual ads appearing on their sites. Such an implementation may confuse users who assume that the image is directly related to the advertiser's offerings." It is a video music modeling site, they also mentionened about adult content, but to me these are all pictures that appear in normal magazines, I have asked them if it's permitted or if they were talking about specific pages...So now i'm waiting to see what they will say.
please update us when you get the answer many DP-ers use image by the ads so this might be interesting
I recall telling you a while back that that site was going to get you in trouble sooner or later. Those girls may "appear in normal magazines", but some of those pictures you have are waaaaaaaaay above the line. Half of those girls are naked with one hand covering their breasts and whatnot, and the other half are oozing with sex. There IS a reason why most adult-content-themed sites run Adbrite and others and not Adsense; you are just asking to get banned.
I know I know, you were right jackburton, this is what they said exactly, "As stated in our program policies, AdSense publishers are not permitted to place Google ads on pages with adult or mature content" Guess I gotta look for other options. So adbrite woudl be ideal for this type of site?? I hear the payouts are liek half what google gives...is that correct?? Boyyy this sucks! Any other programs you can suggest for this site?? Thanks
AHHHHH MANNNNNNNNNNN so that's that I go tmy answer. No more adsense on that site. But at least i didn't get banned. this is what they said: Thanks for following up with us. I'll be happy to provide clarification of out policies regarding mature content and misleading ad implementation. However, as your site was found to be in violation of our program policies, it is no longer eligible for participation in the AdSense program. Please be assured that your account remains active, and you are welcome to place Google ads on other sites which comply with AdSense policies. For clarification, our policy regarding adult/mature content includes any material that may not be appropriate for all audiences. While this includes images with nudity, it may also includes images containing lewd poses, sheer or see-through clothing, or topless women covered only by hands or hair. Regarding placing images near ads, we ask that you exercise caution when placing images near the Google ads on your site, as AdSense publishers may not rely on deceptive implementation methods to generate clicks. Specifically, we ask that publishers not place misleading images near Google ads or use images that appear to be directly associated with the advertisers and their offerings. The use of such images may confuse users or draw undue attention to the ads and result in unintentional clicks. I hope that answers your questions. Please let me know if you have any further concerns. Welll time for me to check out the other ad places now.
Adbrite doesn't pay nearly as well as Adsense, but it is something. I would also consider putting CPM ad banners on there; look for an ad network that doesn't mind partial nudity, but the problem is, you'll end up getting CPM ad banners with obvious sex, and you might not want that. (Clicksor is an option, but it's open to debate if they're worthwhile.) Unfortunately the cold hard facts is that adult sites are very popular and easy to get visitors for, but monetizing them is a bitch.
wow i think it's time to cry now. Adbrite is not doing great for me what so ever...showing ads like casino crap, and not only that they keep repeating the ads when its a 4 ad layout, over and over!!! G had so many good valuable/related ads for me. Boyyyy im so sad. I guess its time to work on my other DECENT projects now...
