    HI folks,

my top level domain is unused and redirected to subdomain.domain.com
I added the unused www.domain.com and domain.com to google webmaster, so I can select the www preferred domain, would this selection reflect in google tracking of the subdomains as well?

    Thanks,

I am sorry to say that your query is not clear to me. when you said that your main domain is unused and you are redirecting it to subdomain, then why you added it into webmasters tool. I would like you to explain your query a lil bit more

a subdomain cannot be set to be preferred i.e. with/without www.
this is the reason I added the domain and set it as preferred.

If your GA Tracking uses a single set of cookies for both subdomains, then there is no problem tracking this funnel in GA. And you would do it Exactly like you would if it didn't cross subdomains.

Make sure that your _setDomainName line sets the domain of the cookies to ".DOMAINNAME.ch" on ALL pages of ALL subdomains that you're tracking.
