WTF?!? ... RegisterFly

    Hey all!

I attempted to register a single .info domain with RegisterFly on October 2nd ...

I elected to pay with paypal, and they right away took $2.99 from m paypal account and put it into a "quick-checkout" que at RF ...

I completed the registration form, and went to submit it, and it said "Registration in progress"

well 10 minutes later the site still had not been registered to me, so I went to email them, and noticed that they emailed me that the registration had failed ...

To make a long story short, over the next 3 days I tried re-registering it more than 30 times, and more than 30 times the same result ...

I finally phoned RF on October 6th and explained the situation ... the agent I spoke to explained to me that they had some problems with the .info registrations that their technicians were working on, and they expected everything to be working in <24 hours.

Well here we are 17 days later, and I still have not been able to register my domain! It is not even about the $2.99 -- but more the principle -- and if they do this to hundreds of people, they have a pretty good frigging scam going on there!

Has anybody else lately had similar issues trying to register a .info domain with them, or more importantly, has anybody been able to register a .info since Oct. 2nd ???

    SEVERELY FRUSTRATED
    GG

There are many bad feedbacks about RegisterFly..
The domains over there are very cheap, but it's not a good registrant IMO.
I'd recommend you use namecheap and godaddy!

Yes I have over 200 domains with godaddy, and another 50+ with directNIC.

I was just looking to save a couple bucks with the .info domain for something I am running a trial on ..

guess I learned the hard way ...

I have maybe 600 domains at Registerfly right now, and I can confirm, that they have lots of problems all the time. On the other hand, they are the cheapest and usualy you get what you pay for so i will not complain...

You should have searched in google before registering it ;) Read reviews first then go with the company who has best reviews :)

i have lots of domains with registerfly also, but I notice their customer service slipping more as time goes on. Maybe all those domain sales got them too busy.

I'll be moving my profile there to other registrars soon. So far Fabulous.com has been the most responsive for me.

This was a problem of recent registry failures on registerfly. They were having some problems with the registry for registering .info and .org domains. But it is fixed from last 2 days. And if your quick checkout account is cut money without registering any domain then open a ticket they will surely refund it. But i dont think they cut any money from the account. As the same thing happened with me and they didn't cut any buck from my quick checkout account.

And i think registerfly is quite better then any other registrar. They are flexible and their service is faster for me.

    Regards

I have .info problems with registerfly ALL the time. I've tried buying the same .info about 10 times with them, and everytime it says success, but like 20 minutes later I get a failed email.

Call tech support and they say the same thing .. we have problems with our .info registrations. Our technicians are working on it and it should be fixed soon.

    Everytime, same thing.

They are cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Registerfly is the 2nd fastest growing registrar in the world, so surely you get what you pay for. You get the best after enom with registerfly, surely i would apprciate, better then namecheap :) Any registrar can have some downtime, but that shouldn't be his story, as for a long time registerfly has provided the best i ever found.
