Hi , which link is better for seo . http://www.mydomain.com/f12/2873/ or http://www.mydomain.com/f12/2873.html or http://www.mydomain.com/2873.html or http://www.mydomain.com/2873/ also , i want use H1 in my webpage , can i use this format ( that is not bad for seo ): <div style="overflow:hidden; height:1px; width:1px;"><h1>My WebSite Title</h1></div> thanks
I think that http://www.mydomain.com/2873/ and http://www.mydomain.com/2873.html are practically the same, and actually a number of users prefer to see an extension in a URL because they're used to it, exactly for the same reason they are used to see the www. So disagreeing with the rest, I'd prefer this one http://www.mydomain.com/2873.html
thanks SEP Madrod in other word , search engine like file (2873.html ) or like more folder ( /2873/ ) for index ?
my last question : i want use H1 in my webpage , can i use this format ( that is not bad for seo ): <div style="overflow:hidden; height:1px; width:1px;"><h1>My WebSite Title</h1></div> thanks
Yes that is perfectly fine alex. And my answer to your first question, none of those domains are really that good. The best one is using keywords so for example, if you had an article on your site that talked about computers, then you should make your domain http://mydomain.com/computers instead of http://mydomain.com/2513 or something like that.
Thanks Dear Bart Simpson but my webiste is non-english and non-english in url not fine for user! ( i think !) - my website is forum ( VB )
Using a keyword in your domain is better than numbers and using H1 H2 H3 tags on your pages is good for seo.
I totally agree with above post. Last url option is optimized and seo friendly. One of the most important requirements is URL structure and page naming. What I am referring to is setting up the website structure and page naming convention to make best use of keywords or keyword phrases.
You might decide to use URLs without the document type extension (.html, .php, etc) but the reasons may be different. Personally I prefer the no-final-slash URL but make sure that if someone appends a slash it is 301 redirected to the correct form.
According to google the URL length does not influence the SERP in any way. It is better to have a shorter URL because it is easier to remember and this also gets displayed on the search results so if it is shorter you get all the URL displayed, if it is longer it will be cut short. Instead of numbers like http://www.mydomain.com/2873/ you should have http://www.mydomain.com/title-of-the-page/. This is much easier to promote as you can have the keyword in the URL which is a big step.
