I have been exploring this site http://www.tigweb.org/ for some days and it has nearly got all the features that you can expect from a CMS including blog, forum, discussions, RSS content, member portfolios and blah blah.... Can you tell me what sort of CMS is this site is using or whether they have developed it for themselves?? Is there any other CMS available that best matches the features of this one? Please give me your suggestions, I have been tired of searching in Google!!!! ---- Keshav Saini
You can found the best list of php open source content management scripts on http://www.phpopensourcescripts.com/content-management-scripts/
Whenever I want to find out what script a website it using, I use this Chrome plugin: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/homgcnaoacgigpkkljjjekpignblkeae Whenever you visit a site using a popular script/software it will display the icon of that software in the right side of the address bar. If you're looking for an easy-to-use CMS that can build sites like that I'd recommend looking at Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal. I also recommend checking http://woothemes.com and http://yootheme.com for Wordpress and Drupal and Joomla themes. The themes are very well priced and in my opinion, some of the absolute best you can buy for any price. Truly innovative and just a joy to use. Best of luck!
for Social Networking, Pligg is great (as jhardy2008 recommended) but also check out http://www.boonex.com/dolphin/ I know of people who have used both and swear by both. Best of luck!
try Joomla, I'm sure you can create website like this in Joomla. You can search a lot of joomla extensions here http://extensions.joomla.org/.
Thanks innovati for your recommendation. Well I have been exploring boonex dolphin software at my wamp server installation on local machine and it looks quite good though there are some bugs. I was wondering if I could be able to integrate dolphin with my wordpress site (http://www.environmentabout.com/) so that my blog remains at wordpress but community like groups and discussion forum works at dolphin while sharing the same login credentials?
