There's a 'sticky' thread in the copywriting forum stating clearly that it is not the place to hire writers. Yet, there are many threads (some as old as 2 months) inviting writers for hire. Is the forum not moderated? Is there anything I can do to help?
Yes, you can use "Report Post" button to report those threads so that mods can take proper action. Report post button is triangular in shape and is located below the post -
Thanks, Digital_shubhi. I will try that and report back here in a few days. Mods, please keep this thread open if possible.
There's no need to report back anything on this thread. All you need to do is report the topics, add an explanation if you feel the need to and let the mods do their job.
Moderators are always inspecting. So you need not to be worry about. If you like anyone's post then you can add rep but don't think about reporting against post. Thats really rude to members.
Excuse me? Reporting a post which breaks the forum's rules is not rude, it's a good thing and you should do it. Providing false information to other members is in fact rude.
I agree with Stingerftw. Reporting objectionable content is responsible behavior. And it looks like the mods actually took notice of my complaint. The copywriting forum looks clean; someone seems to have weeded out those violating threads. Even though I'm new to the site, I greatly appreciate the good work. Thanks, guys!
Imagine a forum with 1000's of new threads created everyday with a bunch of mods, most likely 7-10. do you think its possible for the mods to check each and every new thread every other day? well, the answer is no it can't be done and in fact its not possible. that's one of the reasons why forums such as vbulletin and others comes with an inbuild option which is better known as the report button. any user can click on the report button and the mod will get an email containing the description along with the reported thread url which will help mods to pick point the violating thread and it will make the forum looks clean.
Yes, it is! While mederator seems pretty in a low key! They would like provide users with more freedom!
If you really hate any one of those threads ( for competition reasons or others ) and you are sure it violates rules, go ahead and report it with the report button. Add as much info as you have to make mods deciding quickly to delete that thread. Otherwise if a thread ( and its writer ) doesn't hurt you, don't bother about it, because there are 1000s like that here on DP.
