I came up with, what I thought was, a good idea and ran with it. I get a lot of emails filled with thank yous, god blesses, and promises to spread the site around by word of mouth, so that keeps me going with developing the site (the money is a nice bonus too, hah.)
Evidently Craigslist is a goldmine too: http://www.google.com/search?q=save...x-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial&filter=0
Excellent, the changes were so simple (and sound minor on paper), but when you see the screen shot comparisons the difference is obvious.
I am sorry....call me a sceptic, but something here just does not add up. That much traffic and earnings that quickly.... Congratulations....I think?
Do you really think I have nothing better to do than sit here and falsify information to post? It's legitimate.
Congrats, Manthem. Impressive numbers for a site just one month old. However, this begs the question - with $zero in advertising, how did you get measurable traffic on the site from Day One? Vito
It did help start, but as you can see most of the ads are now deleted and I've since moved on to other means of advertising.
I do not know you, and do not know what you have time to do. All I was saying is that I was sceptical. If it is true, then more power to you and I hope you have continued success. Let's leave it at that.....
Not really... if the site is worthwhile and interesting and demands an audience, 2000 uniques really isn't alot. Word of mouth is a very powerful thing.. all it takes is 100 people to tell 20 friends, and there's your 2000 visitors.
You're not being realistic. You will not get ONE person to tell 20 people (atleast if it's offline). Now we're talking 2,000 uniques every single day. Now you're saying there are 100 people telling TWENTY people each EVERY single day? You live in fantasy land if you think 100 people will go around telling 20 people (which is a massive amount of people to have an extensive conversation with in one day) about some site they visited on the internet. It's unrealistic, trust me.
Almost half of my daily visitors are returning visitors. And web based email clients result in 45% of referrals to my site. I seriously have better things to do with my time then to fake statistics for you guys.
If the site has "sticky" content, then it's possible that visitors will return regularly. And that those visitors will tell their friends, and on it continues. Im being completely hypothetical.. it totally depends on the website.
I, for one, am not doubting your stats however I'd like to play some devil's advocate and point out that since DP threads helped you with your ad placement, why not share your quickly escalating traffic success tips with other posters?
