    ANy link from an authoritative website is a good link. But make sure to get relevant back links to your site.. Back link from a tourism website to your gadget website is of no use. It will only do harm than any good.
    Also you missed the most important way to build link.. guest post.. you can write guest post for your competitiors and get back link from them..

    1,3, and 6 are more valuable links but making one way links is worthless and oneway links never helps in getting a good PR. If the site link back to you then it'll be more worthy for your site.

    I don't think any single approach gives good amount of quality backlinks thats why i prefer more than one technique.Authority link from your niche,Press release,One way linking,Directory submission,RSS feed,commenting and social bookmarking and networking.

    dont forget as said above article, Blog and forum comments make sure they are do follow and related to your niche if possiable. Social bookmarking is another great way to get backlinks. Can also buy signatures if you got the cash usually at good prices considering most have 15k and only asking like 40 a month

    Many referred to forum posting, so - does it matter 10 backlinks from DP to 1000 backlinks from DP? or they are same as they just from same website?

    I would say getting backlinks from radio and television will definitely increase your traffic, are some of the best if you can get them, as well as do follow Edu and Gov links
