I transferred domain to Name.com,but it got renewed automatically for free!

    Hi guys!

    I just transferred one of my domains to name.com for $7.75. It was supposed to expire on 7th July 2011. But after the transfer process I noticed that the expiration date was extended to 7th July 2012.

    Does name.com automatically renew domains which are transferred?

    Any Ideas? :)

    Yes, the fee that you have paid for transfer includes the renewal as well.

    I suppose that any Registrar offers this.. I have noticed that there are many Registrars available in the Market now, so it can be reasonable to compare all of them and choose the most suitable one.

    Actually when you transfer a domain, you get another year renewal up front. Most of the registrars are practicing that.

    But for the prices, I don't understand why some registrars have very low prices, and those of certain TLDs keep dropping while others are still very high?

    Most all registrars do this. With your domain name transfer you also get one free year of registration. This is how we also do it at Economical Domains
