Hi, I was wondering if anyone here can guide me to a nice easy to use inventory management system that I can install on my windows server 2003 and used as a web application.
Meaning like I can install at my PC and used to display the inventory software web based using localhost.
    Rep+ for the best answers.
    Thanks

I've spent years looking for a good inventory system and I still haven't found the perfect one yet. Spiceworks (http://www.spiceworks.com/) might be the sort of thing that gives you what you need. We currently use Hardware Inspector (http://www.hwinspector.com/en/index.php) for tracking hardware inventory, orders, builds, and locations, but it isn't an online app and probably doesn't do what your looking for.

Truth is, I don't know. I remember looking at it a while ago and it seemed a pretty good programme, but just not quite what we were looking for at that time. I'm sure it has changed a lot since then and is probably even better. I know it has a web interface so you should be able to run it on a Windows Server in your office or online, but I'm not sure how it connects with the remote servers to gather the information it uses.

They have a very strong community so it might be worthwhile signing up and asking the question there directly. I'm sure someone with a lot more knowledge than me will be able to help you out.
