Does Google's Page Rank still exist?

Does Google's Page Rank still exist? Is it ever updated??? I don't think that in my site's case it's been updated in the last 12 months??? Does anyone have similar experience?

Well, kinda.... but you couldn't prove it by my sites. Updates are infrequent and rather far apart. Also, only a small fraction of pages get updated. My most recent site has no page higher than PR0.

PR0 on a page means:
a) the page hasn't been around very long
b) the site has been penalized for some reason
c) the page has been around long enough, but doesn't have enough backlinks
d) the page has been around long enough, has lots of backlinks, but Google ignores it time and time again for some unknown reason

Yes it still exist. Definitely it is because PR is an internal ranking system of Google that has something to do with link, that's why it won't be remove by Google.

 

Yes, that's the real pagerank... the one that matters. I think the original question was about toolbar pagerank...which is updated infrequently, or not at all. It really needs to disappear.

Don't worry about PR, it means nothing. The only time PR seems to mean anything is if you are selling links on your sites, people will pay more for a High PR link, and it is debatable whether that helps you or not. Work on your SEO through building links and pay attention to your rankings for good keywords, PR will come naturally and even if it doesn't if you rank good who cares what your PR is.

 

PageRank still exists definitely, however, Google does not want the website owners to worry about it because Google does not consider it as a very important metric in ranking a site. Google, instead, suggests that we should focus on traffic and eventually turning the visitors into customers. So, I would say ranking well on SERPs should be more important than putting much weight on PR, and then building quality back links from related sites to generate targeted traffic into our site.

 

It exists...but is of no value now-a-days !! So don't bother about it

pr still exists but i dont think there is any reason to worry about it as long as you are getting visitors and earning a decent sum.

 

We all know that Toolbar PR is not the same as Actual PR...however PR is critical to SEO as its the Google's way of calculating the importance of backlinks linking to your site.

 

Google doesn't want you to worry about it because they're trying to use talk to eliminate what their algorithm can't: people gaming the system.

 

Yes, PR exist and gets updated regularly.
Only those websites can see the updates which deserve some changes (either be good or bad)

If you can't see the update, Do not worry. It is not important, neither for Google nor for your website.

 

I never see there is any sign to show PR is disappearing.
PR will get updated for every e to 4 months.

Still, but don't care too much about it. Focus on get a traffic and backlinks.

 

It exist but google wants you to focus on other things instead of pr which i agree pr will happen in time.
