Hi all, I have a website crawling the web and indexing all movies links for users to download free. The traffic is about 1500 unique visitors/day, 5000 page views/day. Should I use CPC or CPM to monetize my site and which networks (Adbrite, Bidvertiser, etc) should I use? Thank you very much for your advises!
Who ever said Clicksor.... *thumbs down* i would stick mainly with CPC make sure the ads displaying a targeted to your sites niche (find a contextual CPC program). Google Adsense, AdsDAQ etc. Stay away from Clicksor. I dont think your at enough traffic to run CPM's. 5*0.05 (if your lucky) that's only 0.25 cents a day. Not worth it. Stick to Contextual CPC's.
Hi wrekoniz3, thank you. Could you please suggest one CPC website (other than adsense because they won't accept my website) which is good for movies content?
Chikita is good. check these guys out too. http://www.contextweb.com/sellingdesk If you find my advice helpful hit the thank you button =)
With my experience with movie/tv sites i have found that a very good way to monetize this is becoming a graboid affiliate and placing a link to graboid with every show/movie and say that it's better than the other links (5 stars, featured, fast download, etc).
it's actually pretty good. they claim for it to be around 10%. In my experience its a little less, but still worth while. They give their customers a free version of the product and pay you (i think 0.70$) per download.
if you are fine with pop ads than CPV pop would be best way to earn money from unique visitor, banner cpm pays much lower than CPV pop
I don't know if you still want another opinion since this thread is open for a while, but this is what I think: I don't think it really matters. CPM is based on CPC and vica versa. You could try a network which haves both? CPC ads and CPM ads? I can recommend you epicgameads.com since they have a CPM pop under ad of $5 CPM
