Selling Online Electronics Reselling Business

I started my online business called Tech Twurl (www.TechTwurl.com) in June 2010. It has already been mentioned in prominent websites such as PCMag.com and BusinessInsider.com. It is also on the first page of Google for numerous high ranking keywords amongst major competitors.

The niche of the website is that we buy electronics from people and sell them for a higher price. Thus, it is an online electronics reselling company. It has huge potential and marketing is easy. The reason I want to sell it is because this niche requires a lot of capital which I do not have to keep running the business.

Revenue for the business since June has been less than $100,000 however this is because I could not market because of the amount of capital I had. I usually get a few orders a week and that is from no advertising at all. The business is at a point where with a bit more advertising, it can get multiple orders daily. When it was mentioned in a magazine I received 40 orders in a day!

As long as you keep the prices for the items low, average, and somewhat higher than competitors you can sell the same items from $50-100$ average profit, all the way up to $200+ for more 'hot' electronic items.

The first half of the year I got about 15 orders a month, which returned about $800-$1,500 profit a month, and that was without any advertising. If someone who buys this has a lot of capital, they can easily market and get many orders. At a worse case scenario, if you get 1 order a day for $50, you can make about $18,000 a year. Our major competitor makes $2 million+ annually, but their prices are very low, and my business can easily trump them with the right capital and marketing.

This can easily become a six figure income company as the niche is very lucrative. I am open to offers as well, thank you.

Revenue Details:
It's hard to state an exact revenue amount as it has been exponentially increasing. The first few months it was in the $800-1000 range, then it increased to $3,000, and in March it was at $20k+.

Traffic Details:
Traffic is around 600-900 unique visitors a month. New visitors are from referrals and search engines, but recently it has increased in direct entry meaning successful customers are giving their word of mouth. I have tracking stats from analytics and piwik, as well as an ecommerce script that shows me where my customers come from, and if they bought something. This is a very useful script and will be included in the purchase.

its worth 9k if you can prove the 1500 net per month good luck...

 

That $800-1500$ is without any effort, about an order every other day. If you were to use adwords about $30 budget a day, I know you can get at least 2 orders a day, about $60-70 profit which is about $22k a year. Definitely not worth $9k. The script alone cost more than $3k.

 

sometimes things are worth more to the owner then it is in the market.

sites sell for 8-24 months profit depending how old the site is, how well indexed, how many daily/monthly sales as well as a track history.

without a lengthy history of average sales at best is worth an average 3-4 months at 800-1500 a month (skeptical at best to find someone to purchase) for 2400-6000

depending solely on someone being interested in purchasing.

 

Can't be good for business if your locking out the site for the month when it's only the 16th.

Since I am definitely not able to see the site if it's locked out and neither can other potential buyers.

 

Thanks for the input, but the script itself is over $3k, definitely can't be worth $2-6k. You talk about trends, well mine is an upward trend, the revenue increased exponentially each month. I think it would be fair to do $1.5k x 10-12 months = so about $18k.

example. My sole revenue yearly comes from gaming. A multi billion dollar a year industry. Just because i have 500 in sales 3 months ago 1500 2 months ago 5000 1 month ago and 2000 this month. its not a patern well established for a sale based on 8-10 months or 10-24 months.

when asking 8-10 or 10-24 months there is a equal pattern of sales generated over that same time period.
